Folsom/LovElution recap
OK, OK, So I am back after a brief hiatus. By hiatus I mean my new boyfriend Monte who is pretty fucking great :-) What can I say? You meet a guy and you just don't seem to be out as much as you once were. That being said, he loves to dance as much as I do (which is of course a prerequisite to be my boyfriend). But I am back!
So Folsom. As always the weather was great. Was it me or were there more people here than last? It was great. Lots of eye candy to be scene (though none as sexy as my boo of course!) My crew (hey Bryd, Val, Jon and Mikey!!) set out for a day fun and leather in the sun. After downing many beers, we proceeded to dance the afternoon away on the street at 9th and Folsom. Pretty great music. And the show that was put on was quite a trip. At one point I was watching two very hot men bump and gring and eat eachothers asses as they danced up on a box in front of, oh, I don't know, 1000 people. Only at Folsom right? Of course we do that at my house ever Sunday morning. Then there was quite a show when someone got up and decided to channel their inner Whitney Houston (did we see that Oprah interview?? Enough said) If was pretty feroush. Skipped Real Bad this year. Last year was insanely packed. Maybe next year!
So now on to LovElution! What can I say about this day? It's like Christmas and New Years all wrapped into one for those who love to dance. The Civic center was packed!! Thousands of people everywhere loving the music. My crew (hey Monte,Jon, Byrd, Jeff and Val!) were out in full force again. After a sober September for some of the crew it was game on for this day (and night!) Tons of fun. Amazing music. The Ruby Sky and End Up Stages were so much damn fun. The only thing I will say is that did school let out early? There were a TON of children there that day. Nothing less pretty than a 16 cracked out of their head! I'm already counting down the days until next year. Love love love this event!
That evening it was off to the End Up with the whole crew. It had been several months since we were all there together dancing our asses off all night. As usual, we had a fantastic time together. Love my crew!
